Road Trip - Jaipur to Pune

Mom - If you come, i wont talk to you
Papa - Arpan ko bola hai ki teri petrol tank mein chini daal de
bhatti - ch*tiya
sonali - you have gone crazy
deepak - abe tu nahin jaa raha hai ... bas!!!
arpan - aapni bike aur xbox mera :P
nishant - g@nd mein kidha hai kya.. but mast trip hogi sir
rohit (nishant's frnd) - abe tu maal le ke jaa raha hai kya ?
roadshakers - Just keep it cool n u'll make it... its electra na... no problem man...

Day 1:

Pune to mumbai : drove cooly , stopping at lonvala n reaching vashi in just 4 hrs.. no problem at all, but vashi was jam packed with traffic... humid and traffic was irritating me,.. so i planned to stop at nishant's place.

I met with a small accident, luckily the saddle bags saved us from major damage, only thing was that my right side mirror broke off and i had to drive my journey without a right mirror.

Day 2:

Started at 5.30am and i was bit worried that if my clutch oil level is ok coz of the last night accident with resulted in a spill. This caused a delay in my trip as i had to stop to enquire about clutch oils at many petrol pump n shops. Finally i got it checked at some place and resumed my roadtrip.
It was going fine.. i had to take breaks in between coz of my back pain. It started raining and that too heavily. it got me delay by roughly 45 mins. Lunch time and again it startd to rain like hell... delay again 1hr, finally i decided to move and reach baroda and reached baroda after 4 hrs of drive...
Time 8.30 pm... reached baroda , had my dinner, booked a room. and slept at 1

Total distance covered :roughly 500 kms

Day 3:

Next day woke up at 8, left baroda at 10. Relaxed and fresh, drove like mad, this time i took lesser stops and tried to cover more distance , but the roads were pathetic.. it took me 5 hours to cover arnd 200 kms... after my lunch, i reached shamlaji and frm there the road to udaipur was mind blowing, amzaing to drive and i managed to cover 140 kms in under 2.30 hours. Night halt at udaipur as someppl told me that not to go beyond udaipur if you get late.

I finally got my rear view mirror changed at udaipur and had dal-bati there.

Distance covered 350 kms

Day 4:

Start from udaipur: 8.45 am
The drive from udaipur to ajmer was not as great as what i had experienced while reaching udaipur, but the traffic was less. It was a one way lane(both side) , plus a bit uphill and downhill till around 50-60 kms. fewer halts as before, i guess my body was getting used to the ride, no more back pains... i could finally drive for 2 hrs nonstop. I was a bit worried that my engine doesnt overheat. Lunch time 70 kms before ajmer. After ajmer, it was kishangard where the express way would start.
I was waiting for the expressway to begin...

Finally i was on expressway and jaipur was just 110 kms frm there. Home finally.... Was driving at 80kms....wanted to reach and give my parents a suprise :)
Reached jaipur and home at 7. mom was shocked to see me., n when she asked me hw did i come , then she was like... i am not talking to u,
papa was suprised to hear my voice too :P

Distance covered: 450 kms

Woo-hoo i reached jaipur, just 1 hour after Arpan arrived(on a plane). Mom and dad were shocked to see me first and Arpan got all the beatings for not telling them about my crazy plan :D

But thankfully, nothing went wrong in the whole trip. Thank god for it :)

Looking for a next trip like this, but next time, its gonna be Himalayas'

Running In Completed

Woo hooo....
i completed 2000 kms in under 2 months time...
man this bullet, it surely goes places.... :D

Me the Mechanic

Yey!!! i repaired my bullet on my own :)
There was some electrical problem in the front, some loose wiring which was causing the bullet to turn off when i turned the handle sideways.
After findin out that the showroom's mechs were not available and i hd to bring the baby there, i decided to try some stuff on my own.
So first i figured out tat it was an electric problem, i was scared that it cud hv been an engine problem, but thank god i figured it out in time :)
So i opened up the battery, and checked the wirings... All fine.
Opened the side boxes to check the fuse.... Fine
Now i opened the light, and tried to check the large number of wires,... ahh a loose one finally after 10 mins of twisting the handle sideways ... Joined it and rode back on my bullet for a test ride. :D

Ps : i got the teflon coating done yest, and heres the shine i got

Tikona

Tikona - the Pyramidal Fort.

An old deserted fort that not many trekkers too are aware of is Tikona, a little known peak pyramidal near Lonavala. The trek is in itself a very rewarding experience what with mist-drenched paths, the wet earth, and wild flowers dotting the countryside.

The fort gets its name from its pyramidal shape, which is instantly recognizable at the end of a gently arching mud trail. This mud trail like most others tends to get very slushy after a shower. In case the showers are heavy then one can always take shelter in the old temple at the base of the fort. Now the trail leading up from the base to the peak is not a very clear cut one and it does make one wonder where to begin the climb.

It is also called as 'Vitangagad'. One can reach 6 Kms to 'Tikona Peth' village from Kale colony - near Kamshet. 'Tikona Peth' is the village nearest to fort Tikona. Though Tikona is not very difficult, but its 'Bale killa' is a difficult job.

it is located at a height of 3580 ft. above sea level

We - Atul, Kamal, IP and Me, found Tikona to be quite an easy trek, considering the reviews i found on net and grading it as a Moderate Difficulty level.

We took a shortcut from the village and managed to reach half way up the mountain in just 15 mins, thanks to the villager who told us bout the shortcut :)

We found another 'Hotel' up the way and had our tea and poha there. Poha was served hot and on some kind of a banana leaf....
Suddenly we smelled the sweet smell of Grass.... and i asked that guy if he has some... An old man came out and sold us some ganja for 20 bucks... ( now i know where to get ganja frm ;) )

Anyways we moved on and manageed to complete the whole trek in under 2 hours, tat included our snacks break .
On our way back, we stopped at Toni da dhaaba and had food and drove on.

Here are the pics

This week the trip was to Lonavala. Weekend stay in Malawali with my friends - Sidhanshu, Garima, Gogo, Little n Tanu and Sid's Parents.

One tip: Avoid Lonavala/Khandala on weekends, bloody it was crowded like a Fish market, the whole fuckin ghaati log and not even one gud chic worth ogling :P

It wasnt raining either, so less water n more ghaati's

Sunday was a trip to Karla Caves... Even more ghaati's and there was a open rain dance going on... Total synchro mein :P

The RoadShakers

No i am not taking bout my blog... i am a modest man :P
I am taking about the biggest Bullet Club in Pune - The RoadShakers (that's where i copied my blogname :P)
The Roadshakers meet every wednesday at BU Bhandari (Pashan) aka Abhimaanshree, n just as my luck was gud i was passing that area yesterday at around 8, and i saw a line of bullets line up and suddendly heard a voice 'oye.... kahan ja raha hai'. I stopped immediately and saw someone waving a hand. I met these amazing guys n they asked me to ride with them till their meeting point. I said 'OK' :)
It was super fun riding with them in 2 lines, one behind the other, trying to keep as little space between the front bike so that no fucking person can enter the place. There was this guy K.D. , his bullet had the short silencer and it did had the super sexy noise, so anyone who tried to overtake or come in the line, he used to increase his acceleration soooooo much so as to make this loud noise to scare away that person....hehe i was real fun...
everyone on the road were lookin at around 20 bullets riding in 2 lines making as much noise as possible... Man it was fun....

Rest was all about the meeting they have discussing the next trip....
Till Then....

Keep Riding n Ride safe....
